One would think it would be easy to have your hubby as your boss because he would never fire you. This is so not true. It’s not easy at all. I find myself struggling every day he says we have a job to do. I started as just a helper until he could find someone reliable. My job was easy to do in the beginning. It was basically helping unbox stuff, clean up, and pick big TV’s up. Wanting to do my best and impress the boss I keep asking what more can I do rather than just stand there and look at him. He would say nothing because I’ve got it. Not anymore. I moved up in responsibility. I get to put the hdmi in on the TV’s and cable boxes and sometimes he lets me fill out paperwork. Under no terms am I allowed to talk to customers because I say all the wrong things. Who knew there were so many rules. The very sad part in all this is that even though he’s my hubby/boss that in the past 2 years that we’ve been working together he has fired me at least 15 times already, but he keeps taking me back. I don’t know if it is because my boss is a pain in the butt, or the fact that the only one who can work with him is his own wife. There is a plus side to all this I do get out of the house and get to meet people.

Next time he fires you demand a raise before you go back. The help needs appreciation. Your working alongside him helps him and you.
