When it comes to vacuums, and steam cleaners I’m not very big on names.  To me it’s what they can do, and the price that it costs off course.  When I paid almost $300.00 for my last vacuum I did so because of everything that it did.  It’s not a bad vacuum at all.  I thought it would make my life a little easier for me.  it does a lot, and that’s why I didn’t mind what I paid for it 4 years ago.

roundup_0000000000010255_image_01This was up until I got the WINDTUNNEL T series vacuum by Hoover to review.  Now I know most of you are probably thinking I’m going to say good things because I got it for free.  Well, you could be no further from the truth than you are.  All I can tell you is that you need to wait until you read all the things that this vacuum has, and it is half the price that I paid for mine originally.

In all fairness to my old vacuum the big reason I got it without saying the name was because the base lifted off, and I could vacuum the steps, and even the car with it.  As far as making life easier for me I now see that it was not the best vacuum for me.  My new Hoover vacuum did need only some minor assembly.  Simple stuff like attaching the handle, dirt cup, and then I put the tools on, and was good to go.

cordHere are some of the things I really like about this vacuum other then the power that it has.  It has a big handle for carrying it when needed, and it’s not that heavy.  Its bagless, so that means I don’t have to fight with the bags to put them on, or spend more money buying them.  It also has a filter that you can hand rinse.  The cord rewinds at the press of a button, and stores in the vacuum.  I love this because no one in my house ever winds the cord up to my liking.  Another cool thing about this vacuum is how easy it is to remove the hose.  You just push a button, and pull the hose end out.  I know I always hated using the hose because I would have to fight with it, and in my house with all my pets this makes a little less stress for me.  Also to clean the pet’s hair out of the brush roll it doesn’t need a screw driver because the bottom plate has a latch on it.  Last but not least the most important thing to me and anyone out there is the power.  Well let me say that it’s got a lot.  This should have a warning sign on it to not get to close to anything you don’t want sucked up on you.  When I was trying it out for the first time I was cleaning my hall.  When I toke the hose attachment out, and was using it to get all the hard to reach spots I must of bumped the vacuum to close to the cats hanging toy because that thing just sucked it right off its rope.  My poor cat.  I hope Santa gets him a new one, as he loved it so much.  He looks lost without it.untitled

So I guess you could say it’s good for me, and bad for kitty.

There is one thing that I’m not so crazy about, and it is that the on/off button is on the handle.  It’s not flimsy, but if anything ever happens to the handle the vacuum is no good unless Hoover sells replacements for it.

I would tell anyone looking for a good, and yet a not to high priced vacuum to look into this one because for all it does, and the power it has it makes it well worth the $149.00 price.

Can you tell me how the vacuum has worked for you now that you have had it for a while, and have gotten used to it? I am looking for a new vacuum.
