For years my mother had cable television in her house. Quite a few years ago my husband convinced her to switch over to Directv. This was partially because cable had cut numerous channels that she watched, and loved. After he put in Directv she got her channels back, and the picture was much better than it previously was.
My husband being an Authorized Dealer got her all set up, and she was very appreciative of the change that he had encouraged.
I never really took the time to look at the difference between low definition (480), and high definition (720 & 1080). After looking at the picture differences I can now see why so many people like the high definition picture.
In my opinion if you are looking for a truly great picture, and a price that is great, then get it.
