So far this year in school my little one has had really good grades. I’ve been a little worried about her keeping them good because in the past few months she noticed a boy in her class, and she thinks he is a cutie. It’s all that she talks about now, and it’s driving me crazy. So I told her that if it makes her grades go down at all next year that I will put her in an all girl school where she won’t have to worry about who is cute, and she can learn more this way. She told me that if I did this I would just ruin her whole life, so I explained to her how she was young, and she has lots of time to look at cute boys when she is older, like in her 30’s. It was more, or less just a threat because we couldn’t afford that if we tried.

If she listens as well as you did, blame it on genetics.

I am dreading the day my son starts noticing girls. He will be 8 years old at the end of this month and I know that the time is coming soon. I am dreading it pretty much for the same reason you are. I just know that when he starts thinking of the girls, his mind will not focus on his school work.
