Someone was talking to me about what would be a good baby shower gift, and i thought about what I got when I had mine. A lot of things stood out, but one thing stands out the most. It is a journal that someone gave me.
I thought “Well that’s nice.” Then my mom said to me “why dont you pass it around for eveyone to leave the baby a message for when she is older, she can read them. She also told me when the baby does stuff, or says things you want to remember to write it down because you won’t remember it all, and if she’s anything like you she’ll ask a lot of questions like “did i do that when i was little?” So as my 9 year old grows, and says or does wierd stuff i take that same journel out, and write it down. I also write how i feel about it, and one day when shes older i will give it to her, and she will always have something to look back on even when im gone.
I will say that when i got the gift i didn’t know just how nice it was, but I love the fact that i will always be with her.
If you give it as a gift then it’s a good idea to put a note with it so they know what to do with it.
