Where Is My Magic Wand?

It seems like every time I ask people that I run into that lost weight, and kept it off over the years “What’s the fastest way to burn fat?” I get the same answer. Good old fashion exercise, and diet. There is no magic wand to wave to do it for you. If you want it then you have to work at it, and how no matter how much you want to quit, then don’t because it will pay off. So I asked my good buddy who is also trying to lose weight, and keep it off if she wanted to look in to joining a gym with me. This is because it helps to have someone motivating you, and helping keep you going with their support.

We Need Life Insurance I Guess.

The other day my older brother and I went out to lunch when he decided to stat talking about life insurance policies. When I told him that we didn’t have one he couldn’t believe that. He then went on to tell me how important it is, and asked me what I would do if something happened to either myself, or hubby. How would I pay for the expenses? This was something that I never thought of, so that night I went home and sat down with hubby. I told him about a web site that I found called http://wholesaleinsurance.net, and how I thought that we needed to look into life insurance policies for him, and I. I thought he would give me a hard time about this, but after we talked about how important it was we both decided to look into it to see if we could afford it right now. I then told him that if we couldn’t, and one of us happens to die that we’ll just have to fill in the pool with the body. He didn’t think that was very funny. If it were just as easy as the folks found it in the photo below.

People In Your Neighborhood

The other day our neighbor, and good friend came over for coffee. He was telling us how while he was in Indiana visiting family he was told about some cheap property, and he decided to look into some Fort Wayne homes for sale. He is thinking of selling his home, and moving because it’s just getting to be too much for him here. He told us how not only are there lots of businesses to help in finding good jobs, but there are lots of nice neighborhoods there. He also told us how the cost of living is lower than where we live. We hope they change their mind because it’s not always easy to find good neighbors, and we get along with him, and his family so well.

How do you feel about your neighbors, and would you care if they moved away?

Dinner & Weight Loss…Don’t Go Together

This Thanksgiving is a big one for me, as it’s my first one that I’m doing on my own. I’ve made Thanksgiving dinner before, but not by myself. My brother, or sister were living with me, and always helped me, or we went to my sister in laws. That is usually the normal Thanksgiving ritual, but with hubby working on Black Friday at Sony for a 18 hour shift he wanted to just relax, and stay home.

This year I wanted to make it special for my hubby, and the little one, and I didn’t want to overdue it because I’m still on a diet, and have a weigh in next week. Well guess what… I made 4 pies, and 2 dozen cookies. What was I thinking?

Well I did make 3 veggies to go with the turkey. Not that that will help you think I wouldn’t over do it with everything I’ve learned over this past year, and how far I’ve come, and like I said I have a weigh in next week. I don’t want to pay for any weight gain. Maybe when I’m out running around tomorrow I’ll lose a little of it. I also could pick up some weight loss pills to help me a little, or would that be cheating? What do you do to lose the excess holiday weight?

Hubby Got Another Plasma TV

Recently my hubby had his 52 inch Samsung Plasma TV die. The warranty company took care of business, and he went out, and purchased another. He didn’t want to hear it when I suggested saving the money. He has to have his toys. He has made his own “CAVE” for playing video games, and watching tv.

Nice part to this is that I can watch my tv shows on the 52 inch upstairs, and I don’t have to be bothered with going in the bedroom.

Anyway… We have 3 plasma tvs in our house. How many is too many, and how many do you have?
