Recently my little one, and I were asked to review a new Webkinz site for preschoolers called Webkinz Jr.  Ganz sent us a code to evaluate the site.  Being that my little one does so much with a few little children in our neighborhood she used to bring kids onto her Webkinz account, and let them play.  This was a great opportunity for her to evaluate Webkinz Jr. so that the kids she interacts with could know about it first hand.  When she was done she gave her code to a smaller child so that they could enjoy it for themself. 

It is just like the original Webkinz site.  You purchase a stuffed animal with a code that gives you online access for a year from activation.  You can also upgrade to a Deluxe membership if you choose, which will give you access to additional games, and more that are available to Deluxe members only.  The Webkinz Jr. site is designed for children 3 to 6 years old.  Webkinz is a internet based game, and needs no software loading.  The only thing that you must have is a internet connection.

The stuffed animals are much larger than the original Webkinz that Ganz made, and they are just as cute.  There are six really soft plush pets to choose from.  I really liked that it had a lot of things on the site for kids to do. Your pet gets its own house, and this is where your little one can take care of it.  There’s also a park that they can visit, a classroom where they can play learning games, and they can earn virtual money to use at the store to buy the pets food, clothing, and toys.  If your pet gets sick, then the child can take it to the doctor.

Parents get their own login area where they can set up skill levels to fit their child’s learning ability making it just right for their child to play the games with very little, if any parental assistance.  Not only did I get to try out the site, but I also had my little one tell me what she thought about it being that she is a major Webkinz fan.

I was recently sent a package of 20 Cascade ActionPacs to try out in my dishwasher to see what I thought of them.  When I opened the bag, and took a closer look at the pouches I noticed that the tablet had two sides to it.  One side being the Cascade dishwashing powder with shine shield, and the other half has the grease fighting power of Dawn in it.  The entire pouch is encased in a water soluble plastic that disintegrates in your dishwasher so there is no pouring, or measuring involved.

All you do is just place the pouch in your main dispenser cup, and close the door.  This makes it very convenient to use.  The bag that the Action Packs comes in is also re-sealable so you can close it, and they won’t fall out all over the place, or get them wet which would make them unusable.  After loading my dishwasher with all my dirty dishes I gave Cascade a try.  It worked great, and had no problem with grease, spaghetti sauce, or any other debris that was not washed from my dishes before loading them in the dishwasher.  It not only got rid of all my grease, and grimes, but it left my glasses shiny with no spots, streaks, or fogging.  This makes it so I don’t have to rinse any of my dishes after words.  It cut through the grease with its entire cleaning power.

One pouch = One load = Convenient for me to use.

I feel with using the Cascade ActionPacs I can’t go wrong.  You can find them at your local grocery store for @$ 3.99 for a pouch of 20 tablets, and sometimes if you look in the news paper you might find a coupon making it cheaper.

Now for how easy the system is to operate…

I found the system to be very easy to operate all you have to do is place a T-Disc in the slot, and make sure you have water in the tank.  Press the button, and in just a few seconds you have a hot beverage of your choice.  If you’re using a bigger coffee cup like we do then there is a manual operating option that allows you to add more liquid if needed.  I’ve done this, and my coffee still tasted fine.  I personally like the taste of Chae Tea.  It didn’t weaken it as much as I woud have thought even though they say it might.  I guess it depends on how strong you like your coffee.  It also has an on & off button to use so you can save on energy when the machine is not in use.

I think the machine has a nice design, and would fit fine into any small office area, or home.  The fact that it makes just one cup turned out to be more cost effective for us than if we went to the convenience store for that one cup, or making a whole pot that would end up just going to waste just to have one cup.  There was only one thing that I didn’t like, and it had nothing to do with the way the machine worked.  It is that the t-disc are so hard to find because the stores by me seem to sell out of them fast.  I can get them on the TASSIMO web site, but you do have to pay for shipping when ordering under a certain amount.  I can also get a much wider choice of beverages from their web site. Tassimo even offers a subscription service that will ship your desired orders at designated intervas so that you don’t have to worry about running out of T-Discs.  Check out the info on the Subscription service by clicking HERE.  While on their web site I also saw they have a Recipe page that will show you ways to add flair to your beverage.  All in all I will say I couldn’t be happier with the TASSIMO machine.  It saves me time, and money.

The Personal Lifestyle Planner from Daysteps is more than just another ordinary day planner.  This planner is more than I was expecting.  What it is is a day planner that was developed by four women who wanted to make an efficient planning system to help people balance the important areas of their life like home, health, and heart.  In my reviewing of this day planner I see a lot of helpful things in it for me.  Some of them are the journals part where you can write your thoughts down, or make notes.  It also has a fitness, and nutritional tracking section that will be very helpful to me with my dieting.  The to do list will help me get things done that I might have forgetten to do.  The calendar area for scheduling appointments is broken down in three large areas of morning, afternoon, and evening making it a lot easier to keep track of your schedule.  The planners also include instructions to help put everything to the best use.  I really think this is a good day planner for the person that tries to do it all.  This planner is available in three editions they are: full year (JAN.-DEC.2010) FOR $ 34.95, first half (Jan. – June 2010) $18.95 and the second half (July –Dec.)  $18.95.  My review was done on a copy of JAN-JULY 2010 edition.

My little one just loves horses.  When she saw that they had came out with Bella Sara cards a while ago she wanted to get a set.  They were cheap enough, so she asked to get them.  She really liked going on, and taking care of the horses and that she could trade with her friends for the ones she didn’t have.  She liked that you could do more than just take care of the horses.  When I was asked to review a new card that they came out with I said I would.  Knowing how much my little one likes Bella Sara I gave her the cards to see what she thought.

You get to walk around, and talk to people, and even horses.  You don’t have to type anything in, as you chose from questions that are on screen, and that’s cool.  You can walk around, and go to stores, and even buy stuff to use in the game, and garden with.  To do this you use horseshoes that you earn in the game, and by getting more cards.  You can also buy more horseshoes with money if your parents’ let you.  While you walk around, and talk to people you find objects that you can pick up, and put in your inventory bag.  There is so much to do now on this site.  It’s awesome, and the graphics are way cool.  The game is not hard to understand, and is somewhat easy to play.  They also have a map in the game to help you know where you’re going.  I find this very helpful. I think all the new stuff they have done with the site is great.  It makes it more fun to play on now.  I think any kid who likes animals, and doing missions would like these cards.  I liked it so much that I’m asking Santa for more Bella’s ball cards this year, and I can’t wait till Christmas comes to see if I get them.

So I sat down with the little one, and we looked through the website.  The site was easy to get around.  I liked that they had a sidebar option that made it easier if you were looking for a specific type.  We had a lot to choose from.  There are more selections available through them than there are in the local stores around here.

She picked out the Teen Skull Fairy costume.  She said that since we were going to Disney World for Halloween she wanted to be a fairy.  She did not want to be like all the other kids in the Disney Fairy ones.  So I gave in, and said ok realizing it’s something that all kids go through in life wanting to be different, or stand out.  Now I will say that we knew ahead of time that the website stated that the costumes do run small, but because it was a teen one I thought we would be ok.  We got the costume rather fast.  It showed up within two days of our ordering.  When we opened the box she loved it.  When she went to put it on it didn’t fit.  It was too small for her.  So not knowing how to evaluate her size correctly I contacted a customer service rep.  The customer service rep. was very helpful.  She told me to try an adult small, and that they would exchange the one I had without a problem.  Now I just needed to find a costume she would wear in that size.

Now here we go again.  I wish they would maybe make a plus size costumes for kids.  Now I will say that they do have plus sizes for adults.  I just don’t like the adult ones because they can be too sexy for a child to wear.  So back on the website we went to find her another costume, and a lot of no’s came out of my mouth.   Things like sexy bunny, kitten, or anything else to sexy because you’re just a little girl, are what I said.  So in the end we did find one we all liked.  It was the Adult Sexy Indian Princess.

It looks the same as the teen one, but just a little more adult, and the price was not bad.  We paid 37.50.  When we got this one in I thought it looked to be very well made, and she loved all the accessories that came with it.  So we had her try it on, and it fit very well.  It was not to short on her.  That was my biggest worry when it comes to sexy or adult costumes, as some let it all hang out.  Some of the things she didn’t like about this costume, and there weren’t many, but the leg covers were itchy for her, and the straps are like ribbons.  She found that to be just a little uncomfortable for her.  So I told her I could fix it by having her put a tan tee shirt on under it, which works out anyway because it gets cold at night.  I feel it was so worth going online to look for her costume, and I loved not having to drive from store to store dealing with the crowds in the stores.

I would like to thank the Greensmart.biz company for the water bottle, & laptop case that I received to review.  First, what I thought of the water bottle is that I love it because I’ve been doing so much walking for my dieting that I will use it all the time.  This bottle comes in 3 different sizes, and it has a neogreen glove that fits over the stainless steel water bottle.  The benefit of this is that it keeps your cold stuff cold, and your hot stuff hot a lot longer.  It also has a clip so that you can put it anywhere, and keep your hands free.  The bottle is also easy to wash.  The Greensmart.biz products are also eco-friendly.

What they sent me was the Wanchai Ferry Orange Chicken Dinner to try, and I got 2 bamboo place mats, and a set of two bowels and metal chop sticks.

Now on to how the food was…

When I saw the picture on the bag it looked good, but it looked like it might have been a lot of work.  Well that was not so.  The directions were very easy to follow, even for someone who can’t cook.  In the beginning when I started I was a little worried about the rice part because you microwave it, but it came out very tender, not all dried out like I thought it would come out.  Another good thing about this is that it has no MSG.  One of the downfalls to this product is that it only serves two, and we are three.  Hubby can be a big eater if he likes the meal, and was a little upset with how much he got to eat.  The little one let me taste hers, and it was full of flavor.  When asked what she thought of the meal she said that she liked the chicken, and it’s good.  I will be looking in my local food stores for this, and any others they make so that we can try them.

The bathing suit I picked out was the black plus size swimdress made by Beach Scene.  I chose this because it looked like a cute bathing suit that I could wear, and be comfortable.  I got the black because I’m not big on bright colors, but it does come in other nice colors, and patterns.  When I got the swimsuit I first put it on to make sure that it fit, and that I would be confortable in it.  I was surprised at how nice it looked on me.  I also liked that it fit me like a sundress more than a bathing suit.  It’s nice enough that I can do my yard work in it, or if I had a BBQ I could wear this and also go swimming.  I thought it also was very flattering to my shape.  This surprised me because the information showed that it has tummy control, and I was unsure of how this would feel, but it felt fine once I got it on.

What I was not to crazy about was the under the dress like bathing suit.  It is a one piece suit.  I did know this when I ordered, it’s just that my last one had two pieces, and I was not too sure if I wanted a one piece or not.  It all turned out fine, and the under piece is black so it does not look funny when I swim in it.  It’s a hand wash, and line dry swimsuit.  When I did this for the first time the swimsuit kept its shape, and still fit fine.

I really am very happy with this bathing suit because I can wear it anywhere.  I’m also happy that the bathing suit prices are not that high like most stores.  When they say plus size it also comes with a plus price, but not at Swimsuitsforall .com.  I know I will be buying more from them in the near future, and to all the plus size women like me who think you can’t buy the right swimsuit online I say Try it, and you too might find out like me you were wrong and you can.

Well, as I have said before my little one loves MolliCoolz ice cream dots.  When I saw Mollicoolz made something new called Shakers I thought how great it would be to try them.  What Shakers are are thick & creamy milk shakes that you make by just adding any beverage of your choice to the container.  When I say any beverage I mean any.  To name a few beverages you could add there is not only white milk, but chocolate milk, or orange juice, and even coffee.  You can also add in candy, nuts, or my little ones favorite… brownies to make it more different.  You don’t have to add anything to them if you don’t want because they also come in a wide variety of flavors like the one I got for hubby to try, and he liked it… cookies and cream.  He said that it was just as good as if we went out, just a bit cheaper.  The little one loves strawberry, so I got one and let her make it herself.  That made her so happy until we asked if we could try a little taste, and she didnt want to share.  As for me I don’t like anything too sweet so i got the vanilla, and it was a nice thick cool shake to have in the heat.

We all had fun trying them.  We think the little one had the most fun when it came time to shaking them up, as it says “Shake it like you mean it”,  and she did just that.  All in all I liked that you don’t need a blender, and when your done there is no mess.  You just throw the container away.  That’s the one thing I realy like about MolliCoolz.  The fact that there is no mess to be made during making, or clean up.  I will be buying more of these the next time I go shopping because my whole family loved them, and they were easy to make.
