Getting Old

As I get closer to the age of 40 I find myself getting worried about getting old. I want to more to make sure that I don’t look really old. One of the things I worry about is wrinkles, and getting rid of them without painful or high cost Botox injections. I saw an ad for a wrinkle serum that claims that it has powerful anti aging ingredients. I went down the page to read about what the prototype 37-c reviews say, and everyone had lots of good things to say about how it works. The one thing that I couldn’t find anywhere was its price. I guess that true beauty has no price. If the price was there then this means that I have something new to worry about because I don’t look good in glasses.

Sleeping In Campers Or Not Sleeping

We go camping once or twice a year just to get away for a weekend, and try to have some fun. I make sure I pack every little thing that you could think of in case we need it. I told hubby that next time I need to pack some eye creams, or maybe just some good sleeping pills because the bed in the camper keeps me up all night because it’s so hard. I guess that I shouldn’t complain because some people have it worse because they are in tents. It’s funny how when I was a kid I remember how I could sleep almost anywhere.

Hubby Is Working Around The House

For a while now we’ve been putting off fixing anything in the house that we felt could wait because money is tight right now. Well when one of hubby’s good friends came over to visit, and he noticed that our front wood steps were in bad shape. We had noticed this earlier when my mother in law made a comment about them, but delayed working on them because of money. He told hubby that if he wanted him to he would show him how to fix them. That weekend he came by to show hubby how to do the steps the right way. I was very thankful because he does this stuff for a living, and knew what he was doing. I had to laugh when the little one came home from a bike ride, and told me how she was upset with her dad because he was not using any safety glasses. So I told her to tell him this, and not me. He got mad because she was bothering him while he was working with a saw. I told him that she has a good point. I then mentioned that he had just told her not to long ago that she had to wear her bike helmet for safety reasons. That’s when he told me that if one more person bothered him he would stop working on fixing the steps. In knowing that I needed the steps to get in the house I decided to take the little one to the park so he could work in peace. When I came home they were done, and I had very well made steps. The most important thing that happened is that noone got hurt doing it.

Hubby Loses Things All The Time

I recently took the little one to the bank with me to cash in her change at one of those coin machines. She loves this because if you geuss how much you have before putting your money in, and you are within $1.99 you win a prize. Now the prizes are nothing great. They are always just some promotional products that the bank gives out. The little one does love when she wins. That night hubby told me that he lost his flashlight somewhere, and needed to buy a new one. This came from the man that knows everything. Seriously… one year we went on a trip, and needed some documentation sent to us. We had a friend go to our house, and she was amazed at how he knew exactly where the paperwork was that he needed. Anyway, he probably left it at one of his jobs. So I told him what the bank does, and how he should get some promotional flashlights, and pens instead of business cards seeing how he leaves them everywhere he goes. Who knows maybe he will get some work out of it.

Weird Marks On Little One

Last Friday I had to take our little one to the doctors because she had these red blotches all over her body. The nurse at her school said that they were flea bites. That night we washed the cats, and cleaned the rugs, but found nothing to conincide with this diagnosis. I was worried that it might have been an allergic reaction to an acne treatment wash that I got her a few days ago. The doctor was very good about getting her in early to see her. When he looked at her all he could say was that they were some kind of bug bites. Now I told him about the cats, and how I found nothing on them. He said that they do look like flea bites, and that she could have gotten them from anywhere. With that he gave me two creams. One for itching, and one to heal it. For the most part it started going away when she was home from school last weekend. Since she went back this week she is still getting new bites on, and off in new spots. I told hubby that if this keeps up I think we will need a new doctor. It will be one that knows what this kid has.

What’s Up With My Head?

The other day I told my hubby that I was a bit concerned about losing my hair because I found a lot of hair coming out when I brushed my hair. My hubby made me mad when he told me that maybe it was due to age. I am in my 30′s, and my hair should not be coming out. Next he told me to go on to www.hairlossforwomen.org to see if there were any suggestions.

When do older people start losing their hair? Not in their 30′s, right?

We did find out later that it was just some hair that got tangled / stuck from paint getting in my hair, and when I pulled out the knot a little hair came out with it.

Little One Has Discovered Boys

So far this year in school my little one has had really good grades. I’ve been a little worried about her keeping them good because in the past few months she noticed a boy in her class, and she thinks he is a cutie. It’s all that she talks about now, and it’s driving me crazy. So I told her that if it makes her grades go down at all next year that I will put her in an all girl school where she won’t have to worry about who is cute, and she can learn more this way. She told me that if I did this I would just ruin her whole life, so I explained to her how she was young, and she has lots of time to look at cute boys when she is older, like in her 30’s. It was more, or less just a threat because we couldn’t afford that if we tried.

Dropping Things From Insurance

The other day we got a letter from the company that handles my hubby’s business insurance. It was telling us that they were dropping some of the things that they covered on his policy when it expires. This made me mad, and I felt that maybe we should find a better insurance company. He told me that it’s no big deal, and it seems as though they’ve been doing this type of thing every year. It seems like the only thing they don’t drop is the rate. I wish he would look for a plan through someone else because at this rate if they keep dropping things then he won’t be covered at all, and it’s like throwing money away. I don’t have money to just throw away. I guess I should have paid closer attention to this kind of stuff a little more.

Gifts Of A Different Type

The month of June has always been a crazy month for me. With so many birthdays, and graduation parties I never know what type of gifts to get anyone. Sometimes money in a card feels like I didn’t have the time to find a gift. I have decided to do the next best thing. I get pre paid credit cards for everyone now. One year I picked up one for the little ones teacher. It makes getting gifts easier, and I think people enjoy being able to get something that they want, and not have to return what I got them. I have also tried to explain to our little one that when we go on vacation she can also use prepaid credit cards rather than carrying cash around. She doesn’t like the idea because she likes to see her money.

Hubby Working Seaside Again

This past weekend hubby decided to go back to doing security work at the hotels in Seaside Heights once again. He does this to bring in some extra money so that we can do more with the little one in the summer. I worry about him when he’s there because it can get a little crazy. One night he called, and before he got off the phone I told him to stay safe, and he was like I know dear. It sounded like I was bothering him with this so I just reminded him of how much serious injuries, or even what a funeral cost, and that we don’t have the money for either. Then I told him if anything did happen that our little one would be very upset because I would have to fill in the pool because that’s the only way I could bury him. He didn’t find me very funny.

Money Making Schemes

Many times I have searched for easy ways to make money with my computer. I had found one way that in the end was more of a pain than it was worth. What I had found was Shoppers Hotline. This is a system that awards you for scanning purchases made. They send you a portable barcode scanner, and each night you put it in the dock, and it uploads the info to their servers.

I tried it out for a few months, but the points never seemed to increase much. I ended up giving up, and sending back the equipment, as it was very tedious to scan each thing, or whatever I chose. I just recently found out that they stopped their program. I wonder if they had that many people not finding “The quick buck” in their system.

If you are looking to make money, then I would suggest looking into whatever you are thinking of doing before actually doing it.

Little One And Her Future

As a mom I worry a lot about my little one, but as a high school dropout I know how important her education is. This stands true especially when it comes to getting a good paying job when she’s older. I know all this because I’ve made the wrong choices in life when it came to my education. So the other day I was telling the little one about lsat prep courses, and how you can take them to help get in to a good law school, and how when choosing a job in life you want to pick something that you like. I also explained how you cam make good money by doing everything correctly. When hubby overheard me telling her this he said I needed to stop it, and let her be a kid and play. I didn’t think I was doing anything other than being a good mom. I just want the best for her in life. At what age do you, or did you start to think about your childs future education?

Hubby Insists On A Bigger Camper

About a year and half ago we got a small pull along camper to go camping with in the summertime mainly. During the school year it is hard to take a trip because we don’t like our little one missing more days than necessary. I didn’t mind that it was small, and the price was right. My in-laws gave it to us. When we got it I couldn’t wait to go camping. I remember when I was younger how my uncle would take me, and my brothers camping. It was something fun that we could do as a family. After a few camping trips hubby now wants to get a bigger camper because he’s so tall. You need to understand his point that he can’t stand up in this one. I don’t feel this is a good reason to get a bigger camper because we don’t camp that much. On top of that a bigger RV means a bigger rv repair when something breaks on it. I have told him that when we can justify a bigger camper that we need to at least get our money out of this one, as we spent a nice penny fixing it up, and replacing things that just weren’t to specification, and operating condition.

What is your thoughts on this?

EBay And I Don’t Get Along

I have a friend that just loves EBay, and so does my hubby. I hear a lot of people say that they find great deals on there, but I don’t know how. Now I just don’t understand the big deal about buying stuff online cheap, and sometimes it’s just to sell it again. Hubby puts stuff up on EBay, and sells his things off very quickly. When I look for good deals on E-bay to do this I don’t find anything. I told them to let me know if they ever come across any wholesale diamonds. Not that I like diamonds, or anything else really expensive costing normally, and I could sell them. They told me that I would need some good luck with living in my dream world. I guess this is why E-bay doesn’t work for everyone.

Swimming Pool & Outdoors

Hubby and I have been cleaning up our backyard these past few weekends. This is to get ready to start opening up our pool for the summertime, and the parties that we have. I always told hubby that if we got a pool that there’s a lot of work to do. When I said it to him I meant the pool work, and not the yard work. I also knew I would have to buy pool toys, and cleaners to keep it blue. What I never knew was all of the other things that you need to make it look nice. Things like outdoor cushions for the chairs, and décor for around the pool. This wouldn’t be so bad I guess if when we closed the pool we had somewhere to store the stuff. Because I buy cheap, and it doesn’t last that long I have found that this costs me a lot more doing it this way. This year I’m going to look into getting some kind of storage bin for our pool stuff. The best part of getting some sort of bin, or storage will be that my dogs can’t possibly sneak, and ruin any of the stuff. We use our pool as much as possible, and that is good because of what we spent for it.
